Rumour

In the first week of our holiday we looked at our scene which is the park. It would be alright for us to record there anytime we like. We also looked to see how we can use the area. Its a big place so we would want it to look realistic. We are know looking for the two main characters and the other characters around the park.

I have searched for music for our second video which is Rumour and I found some examples that we can use. Here is the music we can use for our rumour video. We would need to pick one out of the three and I think they are all good.

This one has a quick paste which would be good for our video.

This one would also be good because it builds up tension at the beginning and it’s what we need when we show around the park. Also the crying sounds at the background would relate to our storyline.

I think this one is really good as well because it’s quite and it builds up tension. It would fit into our story but we would need to get permission by the creator.

In Lesson

During lesson me and my friend Jessica uploaded our storyboard photos on to out laptops so that we could edit them. We used movie maker to join our shots and to add affects and transitions to them. We completed our editing with our titles but we need to find a tune for the background before we upload it on our coursework.

Storyboarding for Rumour

Today in my lesson I worked on my slide show presentation and on my storyboard. I double checked my hyperlinks and made sure that each slide opened when the link was clicked. When I finished looking at my slideshow presentation me and my partner completed the storyboards drawing and added the time in seconds and the information of each shot drawn. We also coloured in our storyboards and took pictures of it with a camera. We took more than one shot each one because we are going to join them up and use them in our Rumour animatic.

Editing

We were editing on Monday for two lessons and it went well. I put together our video and watched it but I need to insert the sounding and dialogue. This is because there is a problem with our sounds. We would need to record the dialogue again and put that in our Torment video. During editing my video I double checked if I included all the angles wanted by the exam board and made sure I had different shot types throughout the clip. I would only need to do the soundings and I will finish my video. After my editing I would need to evaluate my work and I would complete my first video and move on to our Rumour video.

Rumour

In lesson on Tuesday my partner Jessica and I thought of our idea 1 in detail which was the Rumour idea. We chose it as our main task and started planning out what we are going to do step by step. We wrote down our location which is the park and thought of the camera shots we are going to include. This is the camera angles Jessica and I though of:

360 degree rule of the park.
Tilt of the trees and bushes.
Close – up of peoples reactions.
Extreme close up to the two friends.
Birds eye view of the park.
Panning and crabbing across the park.
Over the shoulder shot of the friends planning.
Walking towards the camera.

We also thought of the sounds around the park. We are planning to have people talking about the rumour as the camera panned across the park. Here are some of the quotes we might use.

‘Don’t talk to strangers and make sure I can see you!’
PAUSE
‘(Whistle to the dog) come here boy!’
PAUSE

We also thought of our props and we need to have a park setting which includes baskets and bikes and children running around. We need to have dogs around as well so we can set the scene. We would need fake blood and white clothes so that we can show the blood clearly. We are going to think about the props when it gets close to recording.

Finally we thought of the sentence at the beginning of the scene and we came up with this quotation:

‘Is it all a rumour? Or is the truth hidden within the bushes?’

Research for Coursework

I have been working on my slideshow for my coursework for four lessons. During the four lessons and after schools I researched on what pictures to use for my slideshow. I used the same tones of colours throughout my coursework which was mainly black and red. I also researched on what music to use for my slides. I used my piano music for my Torment slides and now I am researching for music for my main task. I also looked at what fonts to use and here are the lists of what fonts I used:
